Two Days to Go!

The big day is almost here and I hope everyone is as excited as we are!

Just wanted to remind everyone that there is a chance of rain and the reception is outside rain or shine. We will be sheltered by a tent but the ground could still be damp and uneven underfoot, so be prepared with appropriate footwear (stilettos and sandals are probably a bad idea). And don't forget a coat, its gonna get a bit chilly!

Cookies!

The Cookie Table may be a Pittsburgh tradition but we think it's a pretty great idea as well.  As the tradition goes, as soon as the couple is engaged, the baking begins. I've been baking since the get-go!

So, if you love to bake cookies, please feel free to bring your favorites to the reception. We'll provide the serving pieces, you bring the cookies. What a sweet way to celebrate Joe and Amy!

Places to Stay...Virginia? West Virginia?

While most hotels in Leesburg are
booked for the Columbus Day holiday weekend, there are many other possibilities here close by. We're just a five minute drive from the Maryland and West Virginia borders across the river from Harpers Ferry, WV.

We have some rooms reserved at the Quality Inn Hotel Conference Center in Harpers Ferry, WV (just across the river). If you're interested, you can give them a call at 304.535.6302. Say you are with the Gillogly|Riedel Wedding and they will get you all set up.

If you'd like to explore some of our outstanding B&Bs both here and in close by West Virginia, take a look at the following sites:
